MY HUMBLE BEGINNING
I was born to a wealthy cocoa farmer in Ondo State in 1964. I was named Bamibola
because I was born into wealth. It was also said that I resembled a close friend of my father who was wealthy and robust. So I have been robust right from my birth. My robust nature is natural. It has nothing to do with the kind of diet I take.
I’m the 13th child in a family of 18. It’s a polygamous family. I cannot recall vividly my
first three years on earth. But I can remember a particular day I wanted my mother to
carry me on her back. She was pregnant with my younger brother and because of that
she refused and I was crying. I remember my father gave me a knock on the head. That
was the bit I can recall. I also recall very well the death of my father. I was just six years
old when he died. It was a tragic occurrence. Though I did not know the import of his
death then, but I saw a lot of people who were crying in our house. His death shattered
the dream of the family and made many of us his children to live like children who never
saw wealth. To read more of Pastor Bola Akin John, Click here to download (My Humble Begining)
